Working the Chesapeake Bay; a Conversation from the Front Lines (E-26)

This week, Mary Ewenson joins us to crab a bit more about the Chesapeake Bay. Mary is the founder, publisher, and head honcho at two of the Bay’s most preeminent publications– Spin Sheet and Prop Talk.

Additionally, she serves on the Board of the Eastport Yacht Club Foundation which is sponsoring a  free 7th Annual Marine and Maritime Career Fair at Annapolis High School on February 25th.

We talk about jobs on the Bay, which ones have (sadly) gone, and which ones are up and coming–you will be surprised!

Tune in, and make sure you check out the fair on the 25th!

Thanks this week to:  Union Jacks, Zachary’s Jewelers, and Anne Arundel Medical Center!

Thank you to everyone who wrote with suggestions for upcoming episodes. We are on it.  Next week, we sit down with Michael Pantelides–the Candidate who sis running for Mayor of Annapolis for a second term.

And coming up beyond that — Travis Pastrana, Kevin Plank, Candidate Mike Pantelides, PG County Executive Rushern Baker and….

We are now on iHeartRADIO!  So if you listen to iHeartRADIO, you can listen, rate, share, subscribe, favorite right there.  Here’s the direct link!

But if you are just joining us…. make sure you check out some (or all) of our previous episodes? You really should. They could change your life. Granted, your life would have to be pretty bad. But still, we have some gems you will want to check out!  Most recently….

  • Annapolis Mayor Mike Pantelides talks about firing long-time chief of police Mike Pristoop, some of his accomplishments in his first three years and what he might hope to accomplish in a second terms if the voters will have him again!
  • The Annapolis Film Festival was our guest last week. Give it a listen and see how this huge event morphed from an idea into a multi-day event drawing thousands to our little sleepy town by the Bay.
  • State Senator John Astle has been a fixture in Annapolis for decades. Now he wants to be Mayor of the City on the Bay. In his first public interview, Astle pulls no punches where he feels mayor Pantelides is falling down, and how he will make a difference.

Oh hell…just go back and listen to the ones you haven’t heard!  And PLEASE be sure to tell your friends about us!
