The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Helping At-Risk Youth in Annapolis and Beyond (E-51)

We all know about Cal Ripken and his baseball career. But what do we know about this foundation that he, his brother Billy, and his family started to honor the legacy of his father, Cal Ripken Sr?

Today, we speak with Steve Salem, the President and CEO of the Foundation and learn about the work they are dong across the country to help at-risk youth. From right here in Annapolis to North Dakota to California to Georgia to Oregon and beyond.  And Ability Fields. Programs with law enforcement. Healthy eating. STEM initiatives. Girls respecting each other and themselves. And more! The legacy of the Iron Man continues!

Special thanks to THE COMMONS for our new sometimes home. The Commons is Annapolis’ only co-working space at 209 West Street.  Check it out!
