Who moves from online to Main Street? Rock Toews of Back Creek Books, that’s who! (E-70)

Rock Toews had a very successful online bookselling operation in Eastport for years. And then, in the midst of a recession, he thought it’d be a great idea to open a retail store!  So he did!  And has never looked back. We thought this seemed a little backward, so we talked about it.

We talked about the move from online to storefront. Some of the things that Annapolis does really well for local businesses. Some things that need work. We talked about the need for businesses coming together to operate more like a mall (yes a mall), and why events like the Santa Speedo Run are absolutely horrible for retail (and he makes a great point).

But if you need a book, check out the inventory at Back Creek Books at 194 Main Street. It’s heavy on history, local interest, and Lincoln. Well worth the browse!
