Getting proud with Annapolis Pride (E-132)

It’s a breath of fresh air to see Annapolis becoming more accepting of everyone!  Sure we have some work to do, but this is a big step.

Annapolis Pride!  It’s a relatively new organization that has burst on the scene in a big way. Last year they had a Pride March for the LBGTQ+ community. And this year there will be a Pride Parade and Festival in Annapolis.  Look for a Pride Night at the Bowie Baysox and many more events and gatherings.

We’re proud (pardon the pun) to have the Annapolis Pride magnet on the back of our car and to support ALL of our neighbors.

Have a listen as we talk to the man behind the organization– Jeremy Browning!

CRABCAKE: The Maryland Black Bears (March 2019)

This is a Crabcake from The Maryland Crabs! What is a Crabcake? Well, it’s a very short snippet of something you need to know. It might be 5 minutes long..or it might be 20. In any event, enjoy your Maryland Crabcake!

No, this is NOT a DNR podcast!  And while Maryland does not have any four-legged black bears, we DO have the two-legged variety in The Maryland Black Bears hockey team!

With their home ice right up at the Piney Orchard Ice Arena, this junior league team of the NAHL snuck up on our radar this year!

We went up and spoke with the President of the organization, Robyn Remick; the Head Coach and GM, Clint Mylymok; and Director of Communications Colin MacCarthy to learn all we could about the team.

The take away–if you can’t make it this season to see them, make plans to next year! I went last Friday night and had a blast watching elite hockey in my own backyard and enjoying a $20 evening (all you can eat soda, pasta and a ticket to the game).
