Does Downtown Annapolis Need a Business Boost? (E-125)

There are four stores closing in Downtown Annapolis with more on the way. Does the City need a business boost? We sit down at Heroes Pub with Sean O’Neill (again) to talk business over beer and wings!

NOTE: Check out the Eye On Annapolis Daily News Brief!  Ten minutes every day at 7am will bring you up to speed on all the LOCAL issues, sports, weather, events and opinions in Annapolis and  Anne Arundel County.  Here’s your link… http://bit.ly/EOA-DNB

The Maryland Crabs Podcast is usually recorded at The Commons overlooking beautiful West Street in Annapolis. The Commons is the City’s first co-working space and it is an incredibly cool one…purely because we are there! Not really, but do check it out!

Hey, before you zone out—do us a favor. Head over to Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes), Google Play or wherever you listen to us and leave us a rating and if you have time a comment. Not only does it elevate (or shatter) our egos, it really helps with getting the word out about this podcast. Thanks!

If you are just joining us…. every week, our full episodes drop at noon on Thursdays. We have smaller Crabcake episodes that will drop whenever we damn well please!  Make sure you check out some (or all) of our previous episodes? You really should. They could change your life. Granted, your life would have to be pretty bad. But still, we have some gems you will want to check out!

Hey..wait…that’s MY artwork you have there. A copyright chat with Joe Barsin of JEB Design (E-98)

Imagine seeing a local company sporting a great new logo only to discover that it is composed of your original artwork and was sold to the local company by a foreign firm. #Pissed

With the USNA Vs Nike/Undefeated crest war, we reached out to Joe Barsin to learn his thoughts. And we learned a LOT more! He has had his work stolen a number of times and he knows how to combat it. No lawyers are involved. From electric boats to cornhole sets.  Have a listen and definitely check out Joe Barsin from Citizen Pride and JEB Design!

Real fun episode at Mother’s Peninsula Grille in Arnold drinking beers, eating burgers and talking pirating!

CRABCAKE: Local Business Spotlight. The Golf Club at South River – Food, Fitness and an Invitation

Periodically, we take a look at a local businesses to give you something more than a peek in the window or a glance during a drive-by.  We will dig deep into the history,  the people, and of course the product.

This series of crabcake episodes is focused on The Golf Club at South River. Located just minutes from downtown Annapolis in Edgewater, it is a private club like no other. Believe me when I say it is NOT your father’s golf club…not by a long shot!

This week we wrap up our series and talk about the food at the Bistro with Chef Frederic Daniel and the Fitness Center with Director of Fitness Jesse Connor. We also bring back GM John Berish and Membership Director Beth Prensky with a special invitation for you to try out the Golf Club at South River for a day, for free!
